Tension fastening elements Tension latches are primarily used as a simple and secure closing method for industrial applications. Whether on flaps, covers, container lids or machine housings – tension locks in a wide range of designs ensure reliable holding and closure.

Depending on the requirements, norelem offers tension latches with spring clips, with tension brackets or with movable tension hooks. They are available in both steel and stainless-steel versions. The norelem product range also includes adjustable tensile fastening elements, which are offered in a standard version and a heavy-duty version.

Adjustable tension locks in the heavy-duty version are particularly suitable for high tensile loads. For this reason, forged tensile fastening elements are often used in the construction of commercial vehicles and agricultural machinery, where loads weighing several tonnes are transported. To ensure trouble-free transport or other work operations, the tension locks are equipped with a safety mechanism in the form of a pawl. This prevents unintentional opening when closed. To compensate for any tolerances that may arise, the clamping hook can be adjusted accordingly using the spindle.

In addition to numerous tension locks, norelem also offers a range of snap locks. Snap locks are particularly suitable for securely locking doors and flaps. They are characterised by high flexibility and easy installation on common profiles. They are fastened without complex mechanical processing using cylinder head screws (size M6).

The functional principle is simple: by lightly pulling the handle part, the pawl pops out of the locking part and the door can be opened. When closing, only slight pressure is required for the locking part to engage. In the closed state, they are also protected against disassembly.

Snap locks with integrated safety functions are suitable for sensitive access areas. They are equipped according to EN ISO 13849–1 (Cat. 4/PLe) and therefore guarantee the highest level of safety. Special snap locks are connected via an M12 connector.

Norelem also offers an emergency opener corresponding to the snap lock, which is intended to prevent accidental locking. This allows the door to be opened from the inside in case of an emergency.
