Economy range of compression latches
Southco has introduced a new range of compression latches that have been optimized to provide a simple and cost-effective solution for enclosure applications requiring basic compression. The E9 Quarter-Turn compression latch combines the proven 90-degree actuation from the E5 Cam Latch series with light compression, making it suitable for a wide range of industrial applications, including buses, rail vehicles, and industrial machinery.
Simple actuation and compression
The E9 Quarter-Turn compression latch is ideal for upgrading applications from a standard cam latch to a compression latch at a lower cost than the E3 VISE ACTION® series from Southco. The E9 Quarter-Turn provides simple 90-degree lever actuation, delivering 4 mm of compression when closing a door or panel. Designed with fewer internal components, the E9 Quarter-Turn latch simplifies hardware upgrades and saves time during installation.
High IP protection rating
The highly durable E9 Quarter-Turn compression latch meets dust and water ingress protection requirements according to IP66/IP67 and is tested to 10,000 cycles, making it a reliable choice for demanding environments. This new latch offers a cost-effective option for customers with high IP protection requirements, lowering the barrier for applications that require basic compression.
Various design options
Thirteen different head styles are available, including standard lever, shielded lever, and roller lever, making the E9 model highly adaptable to specific application requirements. The E9 Quarter-Turn compression latch series is available in both right- and left-hand configurations, with fixed or adjustable grip lengths, enabling designers to select the right solution for their application.
