New KIPP finger grips: maximum functionality in a minimalist design
Less material, less space, but full functionality. KIPP is expanding its range of operating elements with new series of compact finger grips made of aluminum, stainless steel, steel and plastic. Thanks to their minimalist design, they integrate discreetly into the construction, can be operated intuitively with just one finger and require minimal installation space.
The new KIPP finger grips provide a solution for applications where there is not enough space for conventional, larger handles. Their compact dimensions and low weight make them suitable for covers, lids, drawers, doors or enclosures, even where installation space is limited.
Low weight is also an advantage in applications where minimizing moving masses and ensuring smooth-running mechanisms are important.
Clean installation without visible screws
Finger grips are fastened with screws from the rear. This keeps the fasteners out of sight, resulting in a clean, functional solution that is easy to maintain.
Typical areas of application include machine and plant construction, automation, housing and switchbox construction and medical technology.
KIPP is introducing four new product series that differ primarily in material, dimensions and available surface finishes.
Aluminum finger grips K0201
The K0201 series comprises six variants of round aluminum finger grips with mounting hole center distances of 30 or 40 mm and grip diameters of 8 or 10 mm.
The surface is available in black or natural finish. Matching accessories include the aluminum end washers K0201.
Stainless steel finger grips K1793
For environments with higher requirements for durability and surface finish, KIPP offers the K1793 series made of stainless steel. Ten variants are available with center distances of 30 or 40 mm and diameters of 5, 8 or 10 mm. The surface is vibratory polished or matt abrasive blasted.
Matching accessories include the stainless steel end washers K1823.
Steel finger grips K1799
The K1799 series offers five steel variants with center distances of 30 or 40 mm and grip diameters of 8 or 10 mm. The surface is high-gloss polished. The stainless steel end washers K1823 are also suitable accessories for this series.
Plastic finger grips K2292
The K2292 plastic series offers the widest selection. A total of 42 variants are available with center distances of 30 or 40 mm and diameters of 8 or 10 mm, with or without a collar.
This series also offers the widest range of colors:
- black-gray – RAL 7021,
- pure orange – RAL 2004,
- colza yellow – RAL 1021,
- signal green – RAL 6032,
- traffic blue – RAL 5017,
- traffic red – RAL 3020,
- light gray – RAL 7035.
Two self-tapping screws are supplied with the plastic finger grips.
Choosing the material according to operating conditions
The four new product series allow designers to use the same operating element principle while selecting the material according to specific operating conditions – aluminum for low weight, stainless steel for durability, steel for a robust solution and plastic for a choice of colors. Compact dimensions, simple installation and a minimalist appearance remain common to all four series.
