Stainless Steel Drill Bushings Now Available

Drill bushings are among the most reliable solutions for ensuring precise and repeatable drilling without drill bit deflection. We now also offer them in stainless steel. An ideal choice for applications where standard hardened steel is not sufficient due to moisture, chemicals, or hygiene requirements.

KIPP and norelem stainless steel drill bushings are available in two versions

Cylindrical drill bushings in stainless steel, DIN 179 (K2425, 08901)
Headed drill bushings in stainless steel, DIN 172 (K2426, 08911)

Available in Versions A and B, in both short and medium lengths.

How to choose the right drill bushing?

Two factors matter: the standard and the version.

DIN 179 – cylindrical press-fit bushings, often used as locating bushings
DIN 172 – headed bushings, with a flange that prevents the bushing from being pressed through

Version A (chamfered at one end) vs. Version B (chamfered at both ends). The choice depends on the direction in which the drill bit is inserted.

We offer a complete range of drill bushings from two manufacturers: KIPP and norelem, according to DIN 172 and DIN 179 standards, and, as one of the few suppliers, also DIN 173, including renewable drill bushings.
